The PS Plus and PS Now subscription stacking prior to the rollout of new services has finally been addressed by Sony.
Savvy shoppers began to soar their PS Now subscriptions last month. The surge in sales was to take full advantage of what seemed to be a pretty big loophole in the upcoming new PS Plus service. In a nutshell, depending on how your current subscription is taken over, members think they can save up to 50% on PS Plus Premium and buy years of PS Now subscriptions to maximize their savings. bottom.
Sony didn’t weight it, but existing PS Plus members began to receive emails that they had already paid to “maintain their stacked subscriptions.” So for a hot minute, they seemed to escape with it.But thanks to the new FAQ pageThere is an official confirmation that it is rarely the case.

How the PS Now to PS Plus conversion actually works
Avid Beaver struggled to buy as many PS Now memberships as possible after reading the first comment about the conversion of PS Now subscriptions to PS Plus Premium. Due to the price difference, it was thought that when the conversion was performed, the stacked subs would be converted for an equivalent period.
Therefore, a 12-month PS Now subscription priced at $ 59.99 / £ 49.99 will be converted to a 12-month PSPlus Premium membership. The top tier of the new PS Plus plan costs $ 119.99 / £ 99.99, saving you 50%.
However, Sony’s workaround depends on the monetary value of the subscription, not the duration. Therefore, the email notifying the customer that the prepaid stack subscription will be respected will continue to apply. You can get a complete breakdown in the chart above.

Sony Disables PS Plus and PS Now Subscription Stacking
For now, Sony has temporarily suspended its stacking membership. FAQ explains:
“While preparing to launch the new PlayStation Plus membership service, we’re doing some work behind the scenes to make the migration of all existing members as smooth as possible.
“As part of this work, we temporarily disabled existing customer stack membership until after the release.
“The voucher code is still valid and you can enter the code either when your existing membership expires and is deactivated, or after the new PlayStation Plus service is launched in your area, whichever comes first. You can redeem it. ”
If you live in the United States, the new PS Plus service will be available on June 13th. European customers are watching June 22nd. So when it’s time to redeem your voucher, don’t forget to sit firmly.
