Peacock will start releasing Lionsgate movies like ‘John Wick 4’ in 2024


It has signed a multi-year deal to stream movies starting in 2024. The deal begins with the studio’s 2022 roster, and is the first movie to reach Peacock as part of the deal. The Unbearable Weight of Enormous Talent, which star Nicolas Cage.

Other Lionsgate movies that will eventually end up on Peacock for a special streaming period include: John Wick: Chapter 4, and The Hunger Games prequel The Song of Songbirds and Serpents. The deal also includes expendable 4 (or, uh, Expend4bles), Are you there, God? It’s me Margaret and White Bird: A Wonderful Story.

However, Peacock won’t be the first to arrive at these movies, as they will ping pong across various platforms in the coming years. They will initially broadcast on Starz and will be available for a period of time afterwards.

Also Monday, Peacock announced that three of its NBCUniversal sibling, Universal Pictures, will debut as special releases in 2023.
