Google said a year ago that Assistant would offer to replace compromised passwords, and now the company is seriously delivering on that promise. Android Police notes He said Assistant alerts are now more widely available to Chrome users, including those on Android. Sign in to a compromised site and you’ll get both the familiar “change your password” warning and, on some sites, an option to have Assistant automatically make this change. At any point you can take control, but if you don’t want to waste time logging into a secure backup this should help.
The assistant uses the AI in Google’s Duplex web version to navigate websites and apply password changes. Knows how to click, scroll, and fill forms that typically require human intervention.
This feature does not currently work on every website. However, the Assistant password tool has only been available to a relatively small group of users since it was introduced at Google I/O last May. Extended access still represents a significant improvement and can be extremely useful if you are the victim of a data breach that exposed your login details.
