Nintendo Switch Bundles: Buying Advice
Nintendo Switch Bundles: How to Find Great Deals
Just because a Nintendo Switch bundle is cheap doesn’t mean it’s a bargain. Many retailers charge standard prices, often including cheaper games in Nintendo Switch bundles. Games that are readily available for $20 to $30 can sneak into premium priced deals and detract from the overall value of the offering.
In this case, if you buy the Nintendo Switch bundle with the full $60 game and really want to play it, it’s worth getting the cheaper titles individually. For this reason, it’s always worth comparing the actual price of the bundled game you’re about to buy with the overall price to make sure you’re getting a good deal. Nintendo Switch sales outside of peak shopping seasons (Black Friday and the holiday season) are more likely to test this tactic.
The best games in the Nintendo Switch bundle
As mentioned above, first party releases are the games you want to look for to get the best Nintendo Switch bundle deals. Mario Kart, Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, and other games developed and produced by Nintendo.
These titles don’t typically cost much less than their regular prices (even years after they’ve been out), so your best option for getting them cheap is to buy them as part of a Nintendo Switch bundle. We know that games can effectively be discounted up to 50% when purchased as part of a bundle.
When to Buy Nintendo Switch Deals
The best Nintendo Switch deals are usually found during the holidays, and you’ll find that the biggest games of the year tend to release between October and December. The inclusion of these titles at discounted prices increases the value of the bundle. However, new Nintendo Switch bundles usually come with big first-party releases. To save money on Switch, look for one featuring Metroid Dread when it launches later this year.
nintendo switch lite
The Nintendo Switch Lite was released in 2019 for just $199.99/£199.99. That’s $100/£80 less than the original Switch console. The Lite can only be played in handheld mode, so if you want to play games on your TV as well, you’ll have to use the standard Nintendo Switch instead.
Nintendo Switch Lite has multiple color options. Now you can get Turquoise, Grey, Yellow, Coral Pink, as well as the special Pokemon Zacian & Zamazenta Editions. If you want to find out more, we have a big hub dedicated to all the best Nintendo Switch Lite bundles.

Or maybe you prefer a few different colors for your own use.The Neon Red/Blue Joy-Con pack offers the opposite colors to those that ship with the console. For example, Red on the left and blue on the right. Check out the latest prices below, or shop the best cheap Joy-Con deals going on right now.
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Deals
you don’t actually requirement Don’t feel pressured to buy a Nintendo Switch Pro controller that lets you play any game. It’s not cheap, but it starts at around $69.99/£64.99. Nintendo Switch bundles have offered the Pro Controller in the past, but these are rare and often set you back a little more cash with the pricier bundles, so we don’t recommend waiting. Check out more Nintendo Switch Pro Controller deals at.
Probably not! Remember how Joy-Con controllers split in two? Flip them sideways and you get two basic controllers, each with its own analog stick and face buttons. On the left controller, the directional pad acts as a face function. We’ve seen 2K’s NBA series, Sniper Clips, FIFA 19, and Mario Kart used this way for his local multiplayer in both docked and tablet modes. So you get multiplayer functionality right out of the box with no additional purchases required.
However, if you want to play 4-player games, you’ll need to invest in extra Joy-Con controllers or Pro controllers. Buy Joy-Cons in pairs (see comparison chart above). You’ll save a little money over buying them individually, and even better, if your friend has her Switch, ask her to bring the controller to the party!
Nintendo Switch bundles are particularly expensive gamepads, so they rarely offer additional controllers at standard prices. However, retailers sometimes include the Pro Controller in their Nintendo Switch sales at a slightly higher price tag.
