Just because a Nintendo Switch bundle is cheap doesn’t mean it’s a bargain. Many retailers charge standard prices, often including cheaper games in Nintendo Switch bundles. Games that are readily available for $20 to $30 can sneak into premium priced deals and detract from the overall value of the offering.
In this case, if you buy the Nintendo Switch bundle with the full $60 game and really want to play it, it’s worth getting the cheaper titles individually. For this reason, it’s always worth double-checking the actual price and overall cost of the bundled game you’re looking to buy to make sure you’re getting the right deal. Nintendo Switch sales outside of peak shopping seasons (Black Friday and the holiday season) are more likely to test this tactic.

On the left controller, the directional pad acts as a face function. We’ve seen 2K’s NBA series, Sniper Clips, FIFA 19, and Mario Kart used this way for his local multiplayer in both docked and tablet modes. So you get multiplayer functionality right out of the box with no additional purchases required.
However, if you want to play 4-player games, you’ll need to invest in extra Joy-Con controllers or Pro controllers. Buy Joy-Cons in pairs (see comparison chart above). You’ll save a little money over buying them individually, and even better, if your friend has her Switch, ask her to bring the controller to the party!
Nintendo Switch bundles are particularly expensive gamepads, so they rarely offer additional controllers at standard prices. However, retailers sometimes include the Pro Controller in their Nintendo Switch sales at a slightly higher price tag.
Nintendo Switch microSD Card Deals
With only 32GB of internal storage, you’ll want to get a cheap memory card or two for your new Nintendo Switch. However, don’t worry. It’s actually surprisingly cheap, even a 64 GB one for under £20/$25.
What memory card is required for Nintendo Switch? These can be Micro SD cards, also known as MicroSDHC (up to 32GB) or MicroSDXC (soon up to 2TB), depending on their size. Nintendo also has its own branded cards, but you’ll pay more for the label alone.
