Obviously, you’re on this list because you want to save money on your new monitor. But everyone’s motivation for finding a cheap monitor is different. Whether you need a daily-use display to move from one Zoom meeting to the next, or you want a gaming monitor that’s capable of giving your gaming rig the edge it needs. you may be looking for. Two factors that should be strongly considered, regardless of purpose, are size and resolution.
size: You need a monitor that fits comfortably on your desk or table. Monitors typically range in size from 15 to 30 inches (measured diagonally). On the other hand, ultrawide displays, sometimes beyond his 50-inch, are rapidly gaining popularity among creative professionals and serious gamers.
Resolution: This refers to the amount of pixels a monitor can display. The higher the number, the sharper the image and the more refined the details. Graphics-intensive tasks such as gaming and video editing require at least Full HD (1920 x 1080) or 3840 x 2160 (4K) height.
Other features: Other features you may want to consider will depend on the type of display you purchase. You can find out more about these in our guides to the best general monitors, best gaming monitors, and best business monitors.

The Asus VP228HE is a great affordable monitor for light gaming and media streaming. Even at 1080p, you get a great display with bright color contrast and vivid images. And don’t forget the built-in bonus features, from GamePlus technology to EyeCare technology.
Yes, it only has a 60Hz refresh rate, but the 1ms response time combined with the flicker-free screen keeps everything running smoothly. At under $200 / £200, you’d be hard-pressed to find anything in this price range that’s as remarkable as the Asus VP228HE.
The HP X24IH isn’t the cheapest monitor on the market, but it’s a gamer’s choice on a budget. For the price, it’s a very fast 24-inch model that packs in a lot of very impressive specs for the price.
Chief among the specs is a 1ms response time and 144Hz refresh rate, fast enough to keep up with the most competitive gaming scenarios. At this price point he’s also great with an IPS panel, which delivers really gorgeous colors and decent viewing angles.
If the HP X24IH has a drawback, it’s only 1080p resolution. This may not be sufficient for some setups. However, 1080p looks great on his 24-inch monitor and can deliver a set of specs not found anywhere near this price on a 1440p gaming monitor.
The Dell S2721D is a rugged and affordable QHD monitor for casual users and casual gamers alike. With a gorgeous 27″ 1440p display, 75Hz refresh rate, and a brilliant IPS panel that supports 99% of the sRGB color gamut, it’s also perfect for photo and video editing.
Aesthetically, the Dell S2721D is quite breathtaking with its three-sided ultra-thin bezel. On the back is a pair of HDMI 1.4 ports, DisplayPort 1.2, audio line-out, and a security lock slot. (Interestingly, it doesn’t have a single USB port.) This Dell monitor can be positioned horizontally or vertically, making space a breeze.
For a no-frills QHD home monitor, the Dell S2721D is a great bargain. However, the built-in 3-watt speaker is weak, so consider opting for his one of the best computer speakers. (opens in new tab) With the money you can save with this cheap monitor deal.

The Asus VG289Q is a few years old, but it’s still one of our favorite gaming monitors on TechRadar. If you’re looking for a fairly fast monitor that can handle 4K gaming, but want to keep your budget fairly reasonable, this is easily one of the stronger options.
In a world where 4K gaming monitors can still cost over $600/£600, the Asus VG289Q offers great value by comparison. I was impressed.
If there’s one downside though, it’s that it’s not the fastest gaming monitor on the market due to its 5ms response time and 60Hz refresh rate cap. Nothing special compared to cheaper 1080p gaming monitors, so the Asus VG289Q is a great choice for those looking for the best visuals on a budget as opposed to the fastest monitors for competitive gaming.

The BenQ PD2700U is a practical 27-inch 4K monitor that fits nicely into any (home) office. You’ll sacrifice a few bells and whistles here, but in return you’ll receive lots of pixels (for lots of detail), accurate colors, and professional calibration right out of the box.
If you stream 4K shows and movies between Zoom meetings, you might be impressed by the razor-sharp images of the BenQ PD2700U. But let me be clear. The MO for this monitor is productivity and content creation. When it comes to serious computing, the BenQ PD2700U really shines.

The AOC CU34G2X has more than enough features for its price point. Prominent features of this 34-inch curved display include QHD resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and AMD Freesync. Its curve radius (1500mm) is not overwhelming. In fact, the AOC CU34G2X offer a very immersive experience, especially when you put on solid gaming headphones.
Design-wise, AOC is pretty… forgettable. But ignoring that caveat really helps, especially at this price, as its performance is never to be forgotten.
